Terms and Conditions

1.1. General

  • All quotes are valid for 14 days.
  • Vehicles will be transported on an open car carrier.
  • We offer a door-to-door service, and it takes time for the drivers to render that service. We require that our clients be patient and not put pressure on the drivers to collect or drop their vehicles at certain times.  They work according to a planned route and no deviations will be allowed.

1.2. Collection and delivery timetable

  • Collection/delivery dates and times are estimated times only.
  • Clients must be aware that a breakdown on truck can cause that we cannot keep to previous communicated times. Clients must be flexible with collection and delivery dates and times when that happens.
  • Drivers are not authorised to enter airports, high risk or restricted areas.
  • Due to conditions beyond our control including but not limited to, traffic flow, road closures, adverse weather conditions, impassable or dangerous roads or bridges, the carrier will be entitled to delay the departure date/time and/or deviate from the planned route.
  • Please make sure that you are aware of the estimated time schedule. No special requirements will be accommodated.
  • Our furthest point of collection in:
    Gauteng area = Pretoria and Cape Town area = Stellenbosch/Somerset West
    Any area past those points will require additional costs per kilometre. Tollgates fees will also be charged additionally.
  • Areas in Cape Town that is difficult for our truck to reach due to road conditions we will deliver to either Green Point stadium or Muizenberg.

*If we are unable to deliver on Friday, then delivery will be on the Saturday morning.
*PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: If we have a public holiday on a Monday then the entire operation will start a day later! Collections on Tuesday and Thursday

1.2.3. Collection/Drop of vehicle after hours.

  • Please inform Ano’s Transport beforehand if we must collect/drop vehicle from a place of business.
  • Due to the precision driving it requires to safely get all cars on the truck we require full visibility. Loading or offloading in the dark is extremely difficult. We will therefore not collect or deliver cars after 21h00 and will continue the next day.
  • When that happens, the truck with cargo will be parked at a secured depot in Kempton Park.

1.3. Deposit and Payment

  • A deposit of R1000 required to secure booking.
  • Full payment required before delivery of vehicle.
  • Failure to do so will result in vehicle to be placed in a storage facility until payment is received. Cost of storage facility will be to the owner of the vehicle’s account.

1.4. Cancellation fee

  • Cancellations must be done at least 48 hours prior to the agreed collection date. Failure to do so will result in a 100% cancellation fee.
  • Due to the limitations of suburban roads which include, but not limited to, narrow streets, sharp bends, steep hills, cul-de-sac’s, townhouse complexes and low trees, Door-to-Door services are not always possible. Ano’s Transport will arrange to meet at the nearest access point for collection/delivery. Our drivers will keep in contact with the contact person to arrange safe collection or delivery.

1.5. Full disclosure

  • The onus is upon the owner to supply full collection/delivery details (e.g., trees in the street, cul-de-sac, narrow street, low entrance gates or booms, etc) to Ano’s Transport in terms of any logistical requirements.
  • Ano’s Transport will not be responsible for any loss or damage occurred if this information was not communicated, or incorrect information was provided.
  • Ano’s Transport will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred because of the owner, or his duly authorised nominee, not being present to receive the vehicle.
  • Loose items left in vehicles at own risk and are not covered by insurance.
  • Fuel levels should preferably be kept to a minimum to save on weight restrictions.
  • Vehicles classified as a “Runner” (running condition vehicle) must be able to start and drive without external assistance.
  • Keys must always accompany the vehicles.
  • All additionally fitted accessories to the vehicle, including but not limited to bull bars, tow bars, canopies and roof racks must be disclosed to Ano’s Transport.
  • In the event of any dispute arising out of this agreement or the terms hereof, or the interpretation of the agreement, the laws of the Republic of South Africa shall apply.
  • Owner of the vehicle must make sure that the vehicle is ready for loading. Ano’s Transport is not responsible to push vehicles out of storage to enable loading. Wheels must be inflated. Aerials must be removed by owner and stored in vehicle.  Ano’s Transport do not take responsibility for any damages to aerials that was not secured prior to the transport.
  • When transporting a caravan/trailer, the owner/authorised person must assist with loading and offloading of caravan/trailer.

1.6.Non-runners

  • A “Non-Runner” vehicle may include accident damage but must be able to roll on its own wheels. A vehicle with a flat battery is also a “non-runner”.
  • Non-Runner vehicles with an automatic gearbox, must be left in NEUTRAL for the duration of the transport.
  • Additional costs apply for non-runner vehicles. Ano’s Transport must be informed prior to collection otherwise vehicles will not be loaded, resulting in further costs.
  • Non-Runner vehicles with flat tyres will not be loaded. The responsibility is upon the owner to ensure the vehicle is provided with fully inflated tyres.

2. Liability Cover and Exclusions

  • All quotes include cover up to R125 000.00 per vehicle by Santam GIT insurance.
  • Santam includes Fire, Collision, and Theft only.
  • Santam excludes claims regarding damages to Windscreen, door windows, side-mirrors, hail, scratches, stone chip, petty theft, tree damages, spare wheels, parts that was not secured or any mechanical and electrical faults during the trip.
  • An excess of 10% / minimum R7 000.00 (SEVEN thousand Rand) per vehicle per Santam claim is payable by the client per vehicle whilst in transit following a claim for loss/damage of any nature as described above.
  • Onus is on the client to obtain cover for vehicles to be transported whose value exceeds R125 000. Client must provide us with a copy of the vehicle’s insurance if the value of the vehicle exceeds R125 000.
  • ANO’S TRANSPORT will not be held liable for loss of any loose items, luggage or unsecured goods left in the vehicle.
  • ANO’S TRANSPORT does not take responsibility for any damage cause or parts stolen from the vehicle by criminal element while in transit. We do not have any control over incidents like this.
  • Any existing damage including, but not limited to, dents, scratches and chips must be recorded prior to the vehicle being loaded onto the carrier on the vehicle inspection checklist and signed for by the client or designated representative. Client must provide a photocopy of that report to the person receiving the vehicle.
  • The receiver must inform ANO’S TRANSPORT of any damage (that was not recorded on the original inspection sheet) when delivery takes place and report it to the driver. Photo evidence of the damage must be provided. ANO’S TRANSPORT will not take responsibility for any damages pointed out after delivery.
  • ANO’S TRANSPORT or its Liability Cover Provider reserve the right to decline on liability cover for exotic, vintage, or modified type of vehicles which decision will be at the sole discretion of the Liability Cover Provider. These vehicles will be carried at owners’ own risk.
  • ANO’S TRANSPORT will not accept liability for mechanical failures and electrical defects that may arise or encounter whilst driven under own power on to or off the car transporter. The onus rests upon the client to ensure enough fluid levels are in the vehicle being transported.
  • The client must ensure that the vehicle is in a clean condition before collection of the vehicle and ensure that the vehicle is fit for transportation. Any defect that is on the vehicle must be pointed out to the Carrier or its representative before handing the vehicle over to the Carrier.
  • The POPI Act is a new all-inclusive legislation that safeguards the integrity and sensitivity of private information. We require your consent to handle personal information while the vehicle is in transit.

2.1. Break-down along the road

  • If ANO’S TRANSPORT experienced a breakdown that can cause a delay to meet our delivery or collection times (such as but not limited to roadworks, accidents, mechanical break-down, etc) our responsibility will be to:
    • Inform the client of the delay.
    • Have the truck fixed or towed to the nearest town.
    • Make sure that the transporters are road-worthy and in good mechanical order.
  • ANO’S TRANSPORT will not provide a courtesy vehicle if delivery cannot take place at an agreed time.
  • Client must be aware that these occurrences can happen during transit and make alternative arrangements if the transporter cannot meet the pre-arranged dates. These occurrences are our of the Transporters control.
